B2B or UOP - what to choose?

The choice between self-employment (B2B) and an employment contract (UOP) is one of the most important career decisions. Both forms have their advantages and disadvantages, and the optimal choice depends on your individual situation, skills, and preferences.

When to choose B2B: If you value independence and flexibility, can acquire clients independently, have specialized skills, want to optimize taxes, plan higher earnings (above 15-20 thousand monthly), do not need paid vacation.

When to choose UOP: If you value stability and security, prefer regular working hours, need paid vacation and insurance, do not want to handle accounting yourself, are just starting your career, need easier access to credits.

Profitability threshold: Usually B2B becomes more profitable than UOP with earnings above 10-15 thousand PLN monthly. However, each situation is individual and it is worth conducting detailed calculations for your specific case.

Hybrid solutions: Many people combine both forms - work at an employment (UOP) while also running self-employment (B2B) as an additional income source. This allows leveraging the advantages of both models.
